Johnny Hugh Jarrett

Johnny Hugh Jarrett, age 62, of Tate, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at his home. Johnny was born December 27, 1956 in Tate, Georgia to the late Charles Hugh and Elizabeth Jane Jarrett.

He is survived by his wife, Vernet Jarrett of Tate; children Elizabeth and Roy Hostetler of Talking Rock, Jonathan and Tasha Jarrett of Jasper, Timmy and Veronica Martin of Talking Rock, Tony Martin of Talking Rock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jackie and Gail Jarrett of Nelson, Ricky and Tammy Jarrett of Tate; sisters and brother-in-law, Shelia Chumley of Jasper, Sheri and Warren Duncan of Tate; 15 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by his son, Tracy Lee, his parents Charles and Elizabeth Jarrett and brother-in-law, Donnie Chumley.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Jarrett, Rev. William Blackwell, Rev. John Jarrett, and Rev. Ronald Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to the Johnny Jarrett Memorial Fund in care of Roper Funeral Home.
