Reverend Edwin Jean Weaver, age 79 of Jasper, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 20, 1940 to Reverend Frank and Claudine Weaver in Ellijay, Georgia.

Edwin is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Cindy Weaver of Canton; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Dennis Sutton of Pinelog, Teresa and Phil Mullinax of Jasper; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Weaver and his sister, Shirley Dilbeck.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend David Abernathy, Reverend Jeremy Mullinax, Reverend Thomas Wheeler, Reverend Bobby McFarland, and Reverend Daryl Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Paul Poole, Ryan Abernathy, Bradley Fitzgerald, Ronnie Weaver, Adam Parker, and Scott Dilbeck.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 17 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
