Mildred Mae Matthews, age 67, of Jasper, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at her home. She was born January 8, 1953 to Johnny Hilbert and Winnie Viola Taylor in Milton, Florida.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger Lee and Angela Cooley Jr. of Ball Ground; daughters, Amanda Chasity Cooley of Jasper, Tammy Leona Mitchem of Jasper; grandchildren, Branden, Destiny, Levi, Hannah, Tayler, Michael Jr., Jessie, AJ, Cory, Trace, Morgan; great-grandchild, Kinsley; and sister, Geraldine Kersey. She was preceded in death by parents, Johnny and Winnie Taylor; brother, Cecil; sister, Nelda.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow in Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
