William Edmond Mayhew, age 85 of Jasper, Georgia passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at his home in Jasper. He was born August 27, 1934 in Lamar, Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Mayhew is survived by his wife, Shirley Mayhew of Jasper; son, Michael Mayhew of New Brunsville, Texas; son, Bryan Mayhew of Pipe Creek, Texas; daughter, Cynthia Mayhew of Pipe Creek, Texas; grandchildren, Bryana and Tyler Miller; Tyler Mayhew, Jason Mayhew, Alex Mayhew; niece, Sandra Horn of Buchannon, Michigan; nephew, David Mayhew of Jasper, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karolyn Mayhew; parents, George and Pearl Mayhew; brothers, Kenneth Mayhew and Phillip Mayhew.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He will then be taken to Texas for interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
