Lester Thuma

December 2, 1925 – February 21, 2019

Lester Thuma Jr., age 93 of Jasper, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Pruitt Health in Jasper. He was born December 2, 1925 to Lester Claude and Osie Thuma in Wichita, Kansas. Mr. Thuma proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

Mr. Thuma is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Dana Thuma of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Jeff Floyd of Jasper; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Thuma; son, Terry Thuma; and grandson, Taylor Thuma.

A memorial service is being planned for 12:00 noon, March 2, 2019 at Lake Forest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in honor of Mr. Thuma.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
