Ms. Virginia ‘Gin’ Johnson, age 86 of Ball Ground, passed away Monday October 21, 2019 at her residence.

Ms. Johnson is survived by her Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Jackie & Judy Mayfield of Jasper, J.I. & Marilyn Mayfield of Jasper, J.L. & Nina Mayfield of Jasper; Son: John Mayfield of Ball Ground; Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Mary Jane & Larry Garrett of Hickory Flat, Ruth & Shorty Johnson of Marble Hill; Daughters: Lois Hulsey of Talking Rock and Lisa McCoy of Ball Ground; Brothers: Reginald Denney of Jasper and Douglas Denney of Talladega, AL; Sister: Eldie Cornett of Jasper; twenty-three Grandchildren; thirty-seven Great-Grandchildren; numerous Great-Great-Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her Son: Jerry Mayfield.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22 from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, October 23 from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Thursday, October 24 from 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM October 24, 2019 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Junior McTaggart officiating.

Interment will be at Ball Ground City Cemetery, following the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Jeremy Vaughn, Jason Mayfield, Matt Mayfield, J.D. Mayfield, Benji Mayfield and Paul Shoemake. Honorary Pallbearers: James Larry ‘Junior’ Garrett, Bobby Garrett, Christopher Pittman and Alex Pittman.
