Arthur C. Coleman, age 70, of Nelson, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. He was born November 12, 1949 to Ernest and Dorothy Coleman in Canton, Georgia.

AC is survived by his wife, Gail Coleman of Nelson; daughters and sons-in-law, Edie and Joe Sanchez of Jasper, Mary and Gary Hardy of Nelson; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Andrea Coleman of Talking Rock, Hank and Kerri Coleman of Talking Rock; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Kenneth Howell of Ball Ground; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ernest and Dorothy Coleman.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Nelson Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Andrews and Reverend John Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. (146 Bethesda Church Road NE; Nelson, GA 30151)

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Roper Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
